THE ART OF NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY 2
Some unique and stunning photographs can be taken in the dark of night. While
there are many possibilities for night photography, this workshop focuses on long
exposures (over one second) of stationary and moving objects. While there will be plenty of
discussion and answers to any questions, this workshop is hands on and
a lot of practice; the best way to learn.
Evening One we will meet at San Jacinto Plaza in Historic Downtown El Paso.
Beginning with an overview of your camera and settings you will need to
know to achieve successful long exposure images.
Don’t worry if you do not know technical terms. You will soon enough.
We will practice with the lights on the Plaza, notable architecture of downtown
El Paso and motion blur, or light streams, zooming and
extreme depth of field.
Additionally, there will be emphasis on exposure and composition - two key
elements for a successful image.
Evening Two we will meet at Ascarate Lake, which provides a multitude of
creative image capturing possibilities. Too, we will discuss the evening before
and answer any questions you may have.
