Calgary Reads Read Up! Training Session

Love to read? Passionate about literacy? Enjoy working with young children who need your reading support? Become a trained volunteer tutor. By spending just 40 minutes for 33 sessions (plus one orientation session) with a struggling Grade 1 or 2 student, you can help a child become a confident, successful independent reader.

Tutors receive training to follow the Calgary Reads lesson framework that includes a variety of effective reading strategies. Calgary Reads schools arrange times most convenient for our tutors.
