Join us as we celebrate the Canada Reads finalists in words and music. Former Mayor of Toronto David Miller champions Margaret Atwood’s Year of the Flood. Jazz performer Juliet Dunn represents Esi Edugyan’s Half-Blood Blues and performs songs from the era in which the book is set. Public health advocate Yogendra Shakya tackles Rawi Hage’s Cockroach. Intersex sociology professor Morgan Holmes speaks up for Kathleen Winter’s Annabel. And writer Cherie Dimaline champions Joseph Boyden’s The Orenda. Presented in partnership with CBC Radio One and hosted by Here and Now's Gill Deacon.
