Funders are asking more and more for research teams to identify their knowledge mobilization strategy. Join Shawna Reibling, Knowledge mobilization officer in the Office of Research Services to learn more about knowledge mobilization. In this 3-hour workshop you will learn:
- What is knowledge mobilization and why it matters to you.
- Examples of knowledge mobilization strategies for the social sciences and humanities.
- Examples of knowledge mobilization strategies for the sciences.
- Clear language summaries as an example of an outreach tool.
This workshop is appropriate for researchers, graduate students and community member partners. There will be some time to discuss individual project knowledge mobilization plans.

Shawna Reibling comes to Laurier from the University of Guelph, where she was a Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator, serving both the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences and the Institute for Community Engaged Scholarship.
She previously managed a knowledge mobilization team in the Faculty of Education, and was a Grants Facilitator, at the University of British Columbia. Her specialties include creating communications strategies that do more with less & sharing knowledge across digital and social media platforms.
