About Kate Inglis
Author and photographer Kate Inglis lives on the coastline of Nova Scotia, Canada, where she was born. In Fall 2009 her first novel was published—’The Dread Crew: Pirates of the Backwoods’ (Nimbus Publishing), a book January Magazine called “a spirited tale, gorgeously rendered.” The Dread Crew was nominated for a Hackmatack Award and a Red Cedar Award, and is now in its fifth printing. The sequel, ‘Flight of the Griffons’, is in production for Fall 2013.
Kate was also a founding contributor of the international womens’ photography community Shutter Sisters , and co-authored Expressive Photography: The Shutter Sisters Guide To Shooting From The Heart (Focal Press), which has been translated into several languages. She intersperses the work of written storytelling with visual, specializing in photographing families, portraiture, and weddings.
