Organized by

LAMS/AESFL as a student organization represents and supports the interests of the students in the Laurentian University Midwifery Education Program.  We organize and conduct continuing education and extra-curricular opportunities such as this Dr. Jack Newman 1-Day educational event.  By doing so, we provide opportunities for students to identify and address areas of improvement through collaboration with the MEP.  These ongoing activities allow us to facilitate the sharing of information and support between students in various stages of the program, as well as with other midwifery student associations in Canada.

Events such as this provide LAMS/AESFL with the means of establishing interdisciplinary relationships with students of other health related fields on campus.  Through our best efforts, we strive to include events that honor the Francophone, Aboriginal, Northern and rural focus of the Laurentian MEP
