Exploring Spatial Reasoning K-2

Developing geometric and spatial reasoning in Kindergarten to Grade 2 students. What does spatial reasoning really mean? In this one-day session, we’ll review the research findings and learn the significance and importance of why and how to develop it in primary students. Developing spatial skills have proven to be foundational to mathematical understanding and a predictor of being successful in STEM related careers. This highly interactive session will focus on five key strands related to geometry and spatial reasoning and demonstrate connections to K-2 math curriculum.
