In April of 2000, the worlds first ever Flash conference happened in
San Francisco and drew a few thousand Developers and Designers from
around the globe. This historic event changed a lot of careers and
lives, and defined the Flash conference and community space forever. A
lot has changed in the Flash world since 2000, and we’ve seen Flash and
the community grow by leaps and bounds. And we feel that the west coast,
specifically San Francisco needs a Flash conference.

Why should I go?
It starts with the presentations. THREE solidly packed days of presentations, both technical and creative. Presenters from around the world have been hand-picked for their skill and talent. You will have FOUR different presentations to choose from. Over SIXTY presentations. And it's also about the networking. Being able to meet and talk to people who share your passion for this industry. Meet them at the presentations, in the exhibitor area, or at one of the evening events. Did we mention the parties? We don't mean to toot our own horn, but FITC parties are legendary. Not that you should come just for the parties, but you could, if you really wanted to. We wouldn't tell anyone.

We began as a Flash Festival, and we've kept Flash at the core, however we have also continued to add more and more diverse presentations over the years, ever expanding the programming of our events.
FITC Toronto was launched in 2002 as a way to build and grow a strong community within the local Interactive industry. Held at the Design Exchange in downtown Toronto, this inaugural event drew attendees from across Canada and the USA, and was a SOLD OUT success.
Since then, FITC has expanded and has held events in Amsterdam, Chicago, Hollywood, New York, Tokyo, Seoul, and now is making its debut in San Francisco. FITC events continue to grow in attendance and reputation, making FITC the recognized global leader in producing events for the design and technology community.
