Girls in Tech Toronto – Kick Starting the “Power Hour Socials"
Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (EDT)
Ever met a girl or woman whose tech-skills just blow you away? Want to help her be the next big deal?
We’re kick starting 2012 with the first “Power Hour Social”, a show-and-tell type event that brings together techie women and girls from all over Toronto.
Throughout the year we will be profiling AWESOME women in or near tech, because awesome women deserve the chance to be spotlighted and supported. Who are these awesome women? They're YOU!
Our goal is to make it easy for you to share your work (no powerpoints allowed!) and to build a network of peer advocates who support you and all the fabulous things you do. Think: bigger online footprint, enthusiastic fans, and a pay-it-forward attitude.
The format will include pre-mingling featuring mocktails and appetizers from up-and-coming foodies in Toronto. Followed by a short show-and-tell given by inspirational women in or around tech. And, concluding with Q&A and post-networking.
If you are interested in showcasing your work, please message us @gitdot or submit an entry on our website here.
Thanks to our sponsors!
