Join us on Wednesday, July 24th for a NetTuesday and HootSuite HootUp collaboration!

Learn about how you can use social media to further your Not-For-Profit's efforts.

Speakers will present case studies + best practicies on using socail technologies such as HootSuite for Not-for-Profit outreach and marketing.

We will be joined by special guests Richard Loat and Katie Jeanes, and Crystal Henrickson!

Richard Loat A visionary leader and one of Canada's youngest executives Richard Loat is a life long learner who has channeled his passion and drive for helping others as he founded Five Hole for Food, a Canadian non-profit organization. One of the fastest-growing non-profit organizations in the game, Five Hole for Food travels across the country every summer with taped sticks, hockey nets and a goal of generating food donations through the game of hockey. In just three years, their rapid growth has resulted in over half a million pounds (500,000 LBS) of donated food for food banks across Canada all by harnessing the power and potential of social media.

Katie Jeanes I'm a glass half full kind of person with a passion for doing good and activating change. With A Little More Good, I like helping social ventures use the internet and social media to connect with their tribe in innovative and fun ways. I create and implement digital strategies for values based businesses and coach entrepreneurs to develop their social media skills and feel confident representing their brands online.

Crystal Henrickson I'm all about the one-on-one connections that build momentum and drive change. Formerly leading the Community and Marketing charge for Yelp Canada, I can now be found helping startups like Chimp - The Charitable Impact Foundation empower donors to manage and amplify their charitable impact. We use using social media as a tool to discover, introduce and strengthen relationships as we cultivate a number of communities. @chimpfund Personal: @marketing_girl

The event will be hosted in the HootSuite Office from 6-8pm, refreshments will be provided. Join us for a night of social justice and social media!

Hootsuite Hootups

Hootups are free events organized by Hootsuite Brand Ambassadors, Solution Partners, employees and keen users around the world.  They’re an opportunity for Hootsuite enthusiasts to bridge online and offline worlds while networking with professional peers, sharing tips and best practices on all things social.

As an organizer, it’s a great way to draw attention to the unique ways you use social media both personally and professionally. Hootups are organized by you, the fans and users, and although not directly coordinated by Hootsuite, we provide support to organizers with advice, promotion, and swag.
