This is a stellar weekend to go out as Ottawa welcomes delegates from across Canada attending both the Fierté Canada Pride as well as the Quebec & Ontario Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce conferences taking place this weekend. Oh and let’s not forget this is the same weekend that the Ottawa Gay Volley Ball Associations hosts it’s annual tournament so needless to say we will see many fresh faces out on this Saturday night.
For those of you wishing to make a full night out, Capital Pride will be holding a Cocktail Gala as part of the FCP conference being held at City Hall from 7 – 10 PM including a great dinner and entertainment line-up brought to you by TD Canada Trust, Barefoot Wines and produced by House of SAS. When & Where
The Mercury Lounge has been a Mecca for the arts in Canada's capital city of Ottawa, since its inception in November 1996. Its programming purports a musical vision steeped in the traditions of jazz and yet forward in its approach to encompass all its many derivatives. Through its dynamic programming, the Mercury Lounge has successfully connected the dots, uniting jazz with contemporary electronic break beat culture. Within its walls the very philosophy of jazz, that of change, abounds. It serves not only as a club, and live venue, but also for poetry readings, dance performances and art gallery.
