Introduction to Windows Phone Development
Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT)
Long time no see!! After a bit of a hibernation of the Victoria DotNet Developers Association please come join us for our event on Thursday, May 9, 2013 @ 7:00pm at the University of Victoria, ECS 116. Things have changed on the Windows platform and app development is everywhere. Learn how your .NET skills transfer to the new world. You prefer HTML/JS or C++? No problem! All developers can come on board with the new Windows development model.
Jan Hannemann, Nokia Developer Ambassador, will be presenting on how to get started with Windows Phone Development and Nokia Developer programs. Jan is a .NET developer with great enthusiasm for technology. He is a graduated Computer Scientist, originally from Germany who immigrated to Canada in 2008. From the very beginning of his career he worked on the Microsoft stack and became an expert and lover of .NET technologies. In the last years he worked on large scale research Genomics projects during the day and on award winning Silverlight and Windows Phone software during the night.
