Event Details


The first ever Made in Strathcona Tours will allow the public to discover some of the cities most historic, creative and diverse businesses by offering guests an exclusive peak into the inner workings of the area's industries.

Made in Strathcona Tours are composed of two tour streams hosted on Saturday May 31st and Saturday June 7th from 1pm - 3pm.

Each ticket will allow you to select two out of six business tours. Different days have different selections of tour locations. 

Your first tour for each day will be held from 1:00PM to 1:45PM, while your second tour for the day will be from 2:00PM to 2:45PM.

You are responsible for your travel between both the first and second tour locations. A representative will be there to help direct you to your next location

*Please show up at your first tour location at least 10 minutes prior to it's start time at 1:00PM

For both days, after the tours are over there will be a reception with a complimentary hors d'oeurves and a drink at The Settlement Building (Formerly known as Vancouver Urban Winery)

Tour through two of these diverse busineses; Mitmunk and Linetest Collective 
Wiens Studio   304 Dunlevy Avenue   Nathan Wiens, improving environments one piece at a time. Contributing to both large and small projects. His one of a kind pieces focus local exotic wood from the Hood with Chapel Arts becoming his latest creation, an ongoing work in progress.
Propellor Design   1120 East Georgia Street   Propellor is a multi-disciplinary design studio. Our work spans a broad range of disciplines from lighting and furniture design to spatial design and sculpture.

Strathcona Business Improvement Association

The Strathcona BIA represents over 500 business and commercial property owners within our boundaries of Gore Avenue, Clark Drive, Railway Street, and Venables Street.

Our area is a broad mix of industrial, commercial, retail and residential zoning, with over 200 heritage-designated properties. Many of our members have been in the area for longer than 25 years, making Strathcona one of the most stable commercial districts in Canada.

The SBIA is also increasingly recognized for its Green Zone sustainability initiatives and its collaborative approach to community endeavours.
