Those who care for others in our community also require others to care for them. We are committed to providing financial literacy and access to confidential personal and family counselling because they are necessary in ensuring that the well being of BC Medical Residents are taken care of.
Workshop Outline Part 1: Managing Stress
Learn how to transform your relationship with money as well as proven best practices in order to manage stress, develop better healthy work/life balance and follow through with self care strategies.
Part 2: Managing Money (Panel Discussion)
Learn how to get your financial house in order as a Medical Resident. You will learn how to reduce debt, make prudent insurance and investment decisions and keep more of what you earn through proper tax and legal planning. You will also learn when to incorporate and things to watch out for in a locum contract.
There is no promotion of financial institutions or their products in order to provide a safe place for you to learn.

EFAP is a not-for-profit, confidential counselling program specialized to provide services to healthcare professionals and their families throughout BC.
Financial Literacy Counsel provides financial education and counselling to professionals and institutions. We’ve also organized yearly tax preparation clinics for UBC Medical School since 2004 in association with LohnCaulder CA’s.
In addition to providing services to PAR-BC, EFAP and Financial Literacy Counsel work together to provide workshops to employees of:
