Ellen Galinsky’s book “Mind in the Making: The Seven Essential Life Skills Every Child Needs” lays out the science of how children learn, explaining the basic executive function skills that children need to thrive and be successful in life.
In this presentation you will learn strategies for improving the first of the seven skills, Focus and Self Control, the importance of it in children’s lives, and activities to promote the skill in before and after school programs.
This evening is geared to those working with school age children and is presented by staff from Kinark.
