What is Mobile Monday?
Mobile Monday (MoMo) is an informal grassroots event that happens around the world on the first Monday of every month for mobile developers, carriers, and connected individuals, and includes industry gossip, tech talk, and lots of beer. With 125,000 members worldwide, Mobile Monday is a big deal in the global mobile industry. We feature 2-3 speakers and 1 demo of the month that speak about hot topics in the mobile world!
Wearable Tech is the topic of this month's MoMoYYC!
Shannon Hoover & Jeff De Boer - Wearable Tech and the Human Experience
Shannon and Jeff will discuss art directed technology with respect to wearable computing. The biggest issue with wearable tech right now is that the focus is primarily about the technology and not about the human experience. When we apply tech to our person it has the potential to either augment or interfere with our interaction with our environment. Good design limits the interference and seeks to heighten the meaningful human moments in our lives.
Chris Nieckar, 4iiii Innovations - The Controversy of Wearable Tech
4iiii Innovations Inc. specializes in using the latest technology to address the demands of athletes, increasing their performance and safety. Marketing Manager of 4iiii Innovations Chris Nieckar will be discussing invisible wearables, the wristable trend, and Cochrane being the epicenter of wearables in Canada.
Derek Rucki and Stefan Redeta, T-Link Golf
TLink is a small, lightweight, bluetooth device that provides golfers with their front, middle, and back of the green yardages from a GPS app on your smartphone.
