Event Details

Want to know what it's like to be an Osteopathic Medical Student? National ShaDO Week, sponsored by the Pre-Student Osteopathic Medical Association (Pre-SOMA) and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), is a week where osteopathic medical schools open their doors to pre-medical students curious about osteopathic medicine. We welcome you to sit in on classes and get face time with admissions representatives and current osteopathic medical students!

*Please be sure to pick the correct ticket location AND date for your schedule*

Contact us with questions at presoma@studentdo.com. Like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/presoma or visit us on the web at www.studentdo.com.

To get more information about osteopathic medical schools and AACOM, visit www.aacom.org.

IMPORTANT: WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO BE A PRE-SOMA MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE. Registration is free.  1)Go to www.studentdo.com/join and create a log in 2) Press the “Join SOMA” button on the main page and fill out the form

Times and tickets are subject to change at the discretion of the Osteopathic Medical Schools. One ticket per individual student only. Students found to hold multiple tickets will be reported to all admissions representatives at each COM and will have their ticket forfeited. This is a high demand event. Should you get a ticket and can no longer go, you are responsible for refunding/cancelling your ticket through your email confirmation or via http://help.eventbrite.com/customer/en_us/portal/articles/581556. This way, another student can take your place.

Ticket holders are responsible for transportation to and from each campus site and lodging (if necessary).

The Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) is the largest Osteopathic student organization in existence.  Run on a national level by volunteer student leaders elected by their peers, SOMA acts as the voice of Osteopathic medical students on issues that affect our medical education, our future careers, and the care of our future patients.

Pre-SOMA is the undergraduate division of SOMA, dedicated to the promotion of Osteopathic medicine and the support of all students who aspire to become the kind of caring, compassionate and competent physicians that epitomize Osteopathic medicine.

How do I get involved? There are two ways to be involved in Pre-SOMA – by becoming a National Member and by being a part of a Pre-SOMA chapter at your local scool.

To join National Pre-SOMA:

1)Go to www.studentdo.com/join and create a log in

2) Press the “Join SOMA” button on the main page and fill out the form
