PHAA Annual General Meeting
Date and time
Location
Dalla Lana School of Public Health
155 College St. 7th floor TORONTO, Ontario CanadaDescription
Please join the PHAA at an event to present the C.P. Shah Alumni Award of Excellence in Public Health to a graduate who has significantly advanced population health in Canada.
Meet with and hear from the 2015 Recipient of the Dr. Shah Award, Dr. Jeffrey Reading. Dr. Reading is currently serving as the Inaugural Interim Director of Waakebiness-Bryce Institute for Indigenous Health, which was established in June 2014 at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Previously, Dr. Reading was a Professor in the School of Public Health and Social Policy at the University of Victoria, the founding Director of the Centre for Aboriginal Health Research at the University of Victoria, and the inaugural Scientific Director of the Institute of Aboriginal Peoples’ Health at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Hear from Dr. Reading himself as he highlights his important work, reflects on his career, and discusses plans for the relatively new Waakebiness-Bryce Institute for Indigenous Health.
This is a great opportunity to meet and network with DLSPH alumni and learn about the exciting initiatives and events the PHAA Board leads throughout the year. Connect with PHAA Board members and tell us what new initiatives you want to see alumni leading this year.
