Get started with the Raspberry Pi in this quick, practical overview focusing on using sensors and logging data. We will use a light sensor and atmospheric pressure sensor to gather some data with a short Python script. You will walk away from this class with a better understanding of what Raspberry Pi computers are and how you can harness their power for data collection. This is an introductory workshop and no prior programming or electronics skills are required, Raspberry Pi computers are provided for the workshop. This workshop is also open to McGill students as it is presented as part of Science Literacy Week.

Open to everyone. 120 minutes.
