Get ready to burn major calories, boost your metabolism and earn major bragging rights with this fast paced HIIT (high intensity interval training) on SAND! Work on your power, speed, balance and agility while you sprint, jump (and sometimes roll) in the sand.
Why sand? It recruits more muscle fibers to do the same excercise, challenges your balance, and has been researched to show greater improvements compared to identical workouts done on land.
We are running our trial training out of the Sports Xcelerator Facility in Brantford and will be running several trials to get feedback in the program. Turn right onto Elgin and take 2nd right into facility, across from the police station. There will be a small sign above a yellow door. On site restrooms available.
Bring plenty of water and a towel to brush of the lose sand before you get back in your cars :). No shoes or socks required, this workout is done barefoot!
Please arrive 10 minutes early to pay and sign a waiver. Cost of the trial is 5$. Please bring exact change if possible, but change can be available. Workouts should last approximately 1 hour and all exercises can be modified for any level.
