Short Skirt Butch
Written by Lee-Anne Poole
Directed by Bryden MacDonald
Stephanie MacDonald plays Jean, a brokenhearted young queer in Short Skirt Butch, a one person show that explores the concepts of ‘femme’, sexual identity, sexual polyamory, and heartbreak. A hit at last year’s Atlantic Fringe Festival, and named one of Top Ten Plays of 2011 by The Coast, Short Skirt Butch goes on a road trip tour this summer and stops at QUEER ACTS for what is sure to be a hugely successful run.

Queer Acts Theatre Festival

The Queer Acts Theatre Festival is an extravaganza of performance for and by Halifax’s lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, queer community, and their allies. Like the community it represents, Queer Acts features shows that are super diverse and a hell of good time. It’s a celebration of our queer city, our talent, and it takes place over the course of four raucous days at The Bus Stop Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Now in its seventh year, Queer Acts invites you to join us from July 16-19, 2015. With a diverse mix of fantasic theatrical performance from this city and abroad, we guarantee you'll be entertained and engaged as we air our dirty laundry on stage.
