Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 5:00 PM - Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 4:00 PM (EDT)
North America’s Biggest Clothing Swap is making its US of A debut in Boston on June 5 and June 6 and we need YOU to clean out your closets and get ready for action!
Two Days! Saturday June 5: 5pm-10pm; Sunday June 6: 11am-4pm
Admission is only $8.00 -- get your tickets now as space is limited!
What are the rules of the swap?
Participants who wish to attend Take Off Your Clothes should bring new, like new or gently worn, clean, undamaged clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women or children. Underwear, socks, tank tops, pajamas, swimwear and bathrobes are not accepted. For each swappable item received, a ticket valid for a 1-for-1 exchange at the event is given to the participant. Items deemed unswappable, along with all clothing remaining at the end of the event, will be donated to Boomerangs, benefitting our charity partner, The AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts.
Priority check-in is available!
As an added service, The S.W.A.P. Team will pick up your clothes in advance of the event, or you may drop off your clothes at our drop-off locations for priority check-in (highly encouraged – email us at clothingpickups-BOS@theswapteam.org to schedule a pickup or drop-off).
What happens at the swap?
Music, food, fun - and swapping, of course! You may even find a unique piece or two from a local designer or boutique tucked in among the racks. This is a family-friendly event. Children welcome!
Steve Carter, Rich Chwastiak, Josh Langberg and Jeff Turton will spin tunes to swap by.

The SWAP Team
We're The SWAP Team, a nonprofit social enterprise based in Montreal, Canada run by volunteers. Pioneers of the clothing swap trend, our popular event Take Off Your Clothes has excited audiences since 2007. Our many chapters have hosted events in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, Boston, MA, Winnipeg and New York City.
You might spot us in fashion magazines Clin d'Oeil, Loulou, Mlle and Zink Magazine or in news outlets CBC-TV, Radio-Canada, CBC-Radio, Montreal Gazette, Calgary Herald, Ottawa Citizen, The Globe and Mail, National Post and many others.
To date, we've swapped over 46,000 garments, donated over 48,000 garments to charities and diverted a whopping 94,000 garments from landfills. Best of all, we've helped people save a million dollars simply by swapping instead of shopping!
