Event Details

Come celebrate Freedom to Read Week with the Book and Periodical Council and the Raconteurs storytelling group. Special guests will tell true-life, personal stories about their experiences with censorship. Confirmed storytellers include Lisa Charleyboy, Catherine Frid, Steph Guthrie, Susan Swan, Ken Setterington and Bruce Walsh. The Canadian Library Association will also present its award for the Advancement of Intellectual Freedom in Canada, and the Writers' Union of Canada will present its Freedom to Read Award.
