Using the Web + Social Media

Inspiring Churches to Tell Their Story

 -----------------------------------

THE VALUE

We know that there are many websites out there that talk about Facebook and Twitter and we all know that if you spent enough time, you could master them. However, we also know that few church staff members have enough time to do that.

We started this workshop because we believe that in one day we can help you understand power of the web, social media, and why your church needs to engage them. We'll lay it out in language you understand, in a friendly and casual environment, and most importantly make sure you walk away with the tools in place to hit the ground running the following Monday.

-----------------------------------

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE AWAY

  • An understanding of why social media and websites are crucial to church communications.
  • A knowledge of what tools are available to you online and a clear explanation of which ones your church should (and shouldn't) be using.
  • The ability to start using the power of story to communicate in your church.
  • A working and nice-looking Facebook page for your church.
  • A schedule for how to easily manage and update that page over the next month (and months to come).
  • Helpful techniques to promote your online presence to your church congregation.
