VMC 102 LEADERSHIP and MANAGEMENT
A Volunteer Manager or Coordinator wears many hats. We get so involved with the work that must be completed, we are often not aware of our leadership or management approach.
Have you ever asked yourself, what type of leader am I and what is my leadership style?
You are probably thinking “I’m a great leader or manager” …but what are your volunteers, clients, staff and vendors thinking?
In this two day workshop, you will discover how leadership entails more than just managing and how your leadership style can contribute to your success. Discover how you can benefit from how you approach, providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people. Find out about the most common styles of leadership and their impact. Then learn how to use the style that's right for you.
Upon completion of this interactive workshop, participants will learn:
- Define Leadership vs Management
- Discover the difference between effective and ineffective leadership
- Discover your leadership style
- Implement the leadership style
