Writer Inc. - Understanding the Business of Writing

You are a writer and perhaps an editor, an author, and writing instructor as well. You have a diverse income stream, but are you taking care of your writing business? This half-day workshop will provide you with practical tools to help you lay a strong financial foundation for your writing business. Through hands-on activities and guided learning, you will learn what expenses are tax deductible, how to optimize your business deductions, how to determine when to incorporate and when to register for GST, and what software is best to track income and expenses. Take your writing business from the confines of the custodial closet to the executive boardroom, and become the CEO of your Writer Inc. Fortune 500 business!
