Event Details

This workshop is intended for classroom teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Participants will learn how multimedia projects can be used to teach many classroom subjects and Literacy with ICT.
We will create a variety of multimedia projects including:
- Animations
- Song, rap, and radio-play audio recordings
- student-made presentations using screen capture software
- Digital story-telling and slideshows
 
I will be using software that is widely available including:
- Windows MovieMaker
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher
- SMART Notebook
- Audacity
As well, we will look at how to use free online resources such as:
Kerpoof, Sumopaint, Tagxedo, and Voki.
 
These programs and websites can be used creatively to make many interesting and exciting multimedia products. Find out how in this workshop!
Participants will receive a copy of all the files they created, plus all of the tutorials and lesson aids used in the workshop.
No experience is necessary in any of the software listed above.
