P.O.S.E. Dance Company
Passion.Obsession.Salsa.Expression.
An original Latin dance company, P.O.S.E. brings grace, passion, fire, and imagination to the stage. Founders, Sarah Weinrauch and Melyssa Moniz, started creating choreography together in 2003. Their love for Latin music and spunky dance movement sparked the creation of P.O.S.E. Dance Troupe.
"Dancing should be like telling a story through movement" says Sarah. "The story can be funny, romantic, lonely, encouraging; or it can provide a life lesson." Inventing choreography and dance stories acts as Sarah's primary artistic outlet.
Melyssa feels that dance is a true art form. "It is to be experienced, appreciated and enjoyed." That is why when she creates choreography, it is meant to be thoroughly entertaining. "Dance training takes a tremendous amount of effort and dedication but it's worth it because I want my audience to be impressed."
Together, they draw inspiration from their life experiences and dance training, believing that the possibilities are endless!
