Anna Acevedo Lyman is half Mexican, and grew up with a Caribbean Stepfather. She swings with Salsa! One of Anna's favorite songwriting tricks is fusing Latin Jazz with Salsa and the Motown Soul she grew to love during childhood. Anna writes her lyrics in both Spanish and English in the same song.

Anna has a 4-year Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance, Majoring in Voice, and Minoring in Guitar. She has family and other contacts in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Brazil. She describes her Jazz writings as "Bluenote Latin Jazz". Anna's first paying gig was at EXPO, the World's Fair, and she performs at Music Festivals, such as the Pender Harbour Jazzfest, and the Victoria International Jazzfest. She gets radio airplay globally. She has 2 CDs, "It's Lush" (Jazz, 2002) currently sold out, and "Sway-Quien Sera" (2008, newest release.)

Appearing with Anna is Cuban-born pianist Pablo Cardenas. He first touched a keyboard at age five and was studying at the Matanzas Conservatory of Music by age seven. He has had a long and varied professional career as performer and teacher, and combines his classical training with an interest in his own jazz projects that encompass jazz, fusion, Latin jazz, and traditional and modern Cuban musical styles. Since arriving in Canada in 2010, Cardenas has performed with Miguelito Valdes and Adonis Puentes on several occasions, and at the 2011/12 TD JazzFest.
