I have been working in clay ever since I discovered the banks of the Moose River flowing into James Bay were made of nearly pure porcelain clay, and started making primitive pots back in the early 70s. Recently I have been celebrating the intricacy of natural forms in my work, with leaves, grasses and flowers arranged to connect the user of the piece to the natural world that inspired it. Occasionally a butterfly, beetle or lizard will appear as well.
