Rebecca Karpus
Rebecca Karpus is a dancer, dance instructor, choreographer, and graduate student at Simon Fraser University. She received her training at several Canadian dance institutions including Arts Umbrella, Pacific Dance Arts, and L’Ecole superieure de ballet du Quebec. After graduating from high school (through half day programs that allowed her more time to train) she attended the BFA: Dance Performance program at Ryerson University in Toronto. After three years of the program, Rebecca decided to complete her degree as a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Capilano University. Rebecca has taught ballet at numerous lower mainland studios including The danceLAB and Adagio Rhythmic Academy. In September she will be starting her MA in Comparative Media Arts, specializing in dance history. Rebecca aspires to become a dance scholar/historian while continuing to choreograph and produce.
