Trees Winnipeg

Trees Winnipeg (Coalition to Save the Elms, Manitoba, Inc.) was established in 1992 to raise awareness of Dutch elm disease and to advocate for greater protection for Winnipeg’s native elm population. In recent years, our mandate and programs have expanded to promote tree species diversity, to educate on invasive species and forest protection, to support urban forest research, to document and promote the cultural and historical importance of Heritage Trees, and to help reforest Winnipeg’s urban landscape.
