Our mission is to improve the competitiveness and viability of the wood products sector by providing research and technical assistance to our clients.

We strive to promote conservation, sustainability and productivity through engineering, innovation and the efficient utilization of the forest resources.

The Mandate

The mandate of WSTC is to provide an active link between the university and wood industries.

WSTC is committed to the following:

  • Developing new technologies and knowledge that can be transferred to the industry
  • Enhancing the quality of the university programs by exposing students and faculty to leading edge technologies and relevant industrial problems
  • Providing innovation support to wood products sector to make it more competitive

BioNB

Driving New Brunswick’s Bioeconomy, BioNB connects, supports and advocates for NB’s biosciences sector. BioNB provides business development, mentoring and coaching support to New Brunswick’s bioscience entrepreneurs and companies.  BioNB hosts regular events to foster sector networking and educate companies, decision makers and the public on current issues and emerging trends. In collaboration with a vibrant ecosystem of companies, research institutions and partners, BioNB is dedicated to enabling a thriving bioeconomy in our region.
