Victoria Native Friendship Centre & Greater Victoria Police Diversity Committee
The Victoria Native Friendship Centre has been providing services for over forty years. We are located in a former school building on Regina Avenue. We are a voluntary agency which means our services are not mandated and we are open to those in need of assistance. We are open five days a week from 8:30am to 4:30 pm.
The Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee (GVPDAC) has a mandate to connect, communicate with and build understanding between the Greater Victoria's many diverse communities and the region's five local police agencies.
The GVPDAC is comprised of community members who represent a range of ethno-cultural, gender, ability, fath, and LGBTQ associations and groups. Two local immigrant service agencies are also included: the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria(ICA) and the Victoria Immigration and Refugee Centre Society(VIRCS).
