Our vision is for all children, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, language, physical ability, social behaviours or socioeconomic status, to play, learn and grow in local forests, creeks, fields, marshlands, mountains, and shorelines with skilled and empowered educators who understand the power of play and child-directed learning and how this can contribute to a more sustainable world.Kingston Forest & Nature School (KFNS) is dedicated to outdoor, nature-based, child-led learning and is located in Kingston, Ontario. Since September 2019, KFNS has been offering weekly pre-registered programming & occasional drop-in events to the wider Kingston community, at our home base on Highway 38.The programming offered by KFNS is geared towards preschool & school-aged children and their parents/caregivers/teachers. You will find us engaging in free play, nature exploration, story time, snack time, mess-making, crafting, tool use, plenty of age-appropriate risk-taking and confidence-building!
