The classes are a weekly 90 minute session and will leave you smiling and a whole lot smarter!

In this course you will easily learn Ukulele chords, strumming, to read tablature, play melodies, begin to play by ear & sing some fab tunes. This course consolidates the basics of Ukulele playing, and enhances fluidity of playing. A fun start to your Saturday that will easily open the amazing world of Ukulele playing! Play with other people have fun AND learn!

This level is perfect for you, if you have completed the Beginner I course, or been playing for a little while on your own, and can strum a simple tune fluidly with basic chords (C,F,G7,Am,E7, maybe are still learning to do Bb). You can move from one chord to another with ease, and play a melody reading simple tablature (the easy number system to read a melody line). Read "what level am I?"

You will learn: to play chords associated with the C Major Scale,(and maybe G, F or D) simple picking patterns, and variety of strum feels. As well as, how to build a major scale, fret board recognition, simple chord progressions, simple chord melody, 2 or 3 part ensemble playing, and a variety of tunes from a repertoire of Jazz, Blues, Country, Classical, Folk & contemporary tunes. There is something for everyone!

We have a resident luthier who is available to fit strap buttons on your Ukulele, change strings or do any repairs or modifications you may require.

All you need for a fun (North Van) time playing the Ukulele!
