We are proud to support St. Vincent Place and their staff and volunteers, who are doing amazing work in our community.

You can direct your donation to one of two programmes, which St. Vincent Place has identified as highest-need.

Lunches for Learning

One in five kids is at risk of going hungry at school. They are more likely to have lower grades, have to repeat years, and struggle with developmental impairments. To help ensure every child has an equal chance at success, St. Vincent Place introduced the Lunches for Learning program, which provides school-safe lunch food packages to local families in need.

Each nutritous lunch package includes fruit cups, granola bars, crackers, tuna, bread, cheese and yogurt, and fresh fruit and vegetables. Thanks to the support of the community, SVP is currently helping about 50 families a week through this program, but hopes to increase that number soon.

Food bank

The food bank is set up to act as an emergency buffer to help individuals and families get through a rough patch, providing 4-day emergency packages to clients. Sadly, as the cost of living increases, so does the number of clients each month. In 2021, the food bank helped 4,179 people, and so far in 2022, SVP has seen a 20% increase over last year's numbers.

How to donate

You can donate at the meeting itself with cash or cheque, by e-transfer to St. Vincent Place (vincentplace@shaw.ca), or by dropping a cheque off to Marnie at Stone's.

Please specify which programme you wish to support, and don't forget to vote as to which group you want 100 Women to next support!

At the meeting

Space is limited so please register early! Doors open at 5 -- come early to enjoy the spectacular views and sip on a beverage.

Meeting starts at 6 pm. While we normally conclude in an hour, we may run slightly longer this time.

$10 minimum donation to cover food costs, provided by the lovely and amazing Rosetta Sicoli.

Cash bar, with premium wine, beer and two signature cocktails created specifically for the meeting (limited quantities).

If you are mobile, please leave closer parking spots for those who may need them.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp into the building, and an elevator. Washrooms are available on the third floor.

Masks are optional and welcome.
