Do you want to feel empowered?
Do you want to help benefit youth/young adults across the North Shore?
You can do all this, earn volunteer hours and be entered into a prize draw by joining your peers and using your voice to help impact charities that benefit youth/young adults across the North Shore .
Help us by voting to distribute $$$ to the organizations below. These events have donated over $29,000 into the community in a variety of areas.
Charities will give short presentations on their mission, where funds would be used and how these benefit youth/young adults in North and West Vancouver
The evening's agenda includes:
- Welcome & Introduction to YPC
- 5 minute pitches from the evening's charities + Q&A
- Voting, Results & Prize Draw
- YPC news
- Food/drinks
**Attendance for the meeting duration qualifies you for the 'prize draw' and volunteer hours.**
The YPC fundraise to grant to the areas of; Diversity & Inclusion, Education, Environment and Health & Wellbeing with previous recipients including:
ACCESS, Anxiety Canada/BC, Athletics4Kids, BC Wheelchair Sports Association, Covenant House Vancouver, Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC, District of West Vancouver Youth in Crisis, Family Services of the North Shore (Christmas Bureau & Youth Lab), Foundry North Shore, Harvest Project, Hollyburn Family Services Society, North Shore Crisis Services Society, North Shore Neighbourhood House, North Shore Rescue, North Shore Restorative Justice Society, Ocean Ambassadors, Pathways Serious Mental Health Society, PLEA BC, Red Fox Healthy Living Society, SeaSmart, SOS Children's Village BC, UNYA, Westcoast Family Centres and Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports.
