Course is three hours, including short assessment portions, and a certificate is granted upon completion.

Description:

Increase your capacity to supervise and manage the human resources in your office with psychological health and safety in mind. Gain tools to help you protect employee mental health and promote mental wellness. Develop strategies for building a supportive organizational culture, which includes providing employees with clear leadership and ensuring positive workplace interactions. Learn about the factors that contribute to employee satisfaction, engagement, and productivity. Make plans for helping each one of your employees thrive in your workplace from the time they are hired until their last day of work.

The course will help the student with effective employee supervision, positive administration of the functions of HRM, a feeling of fairness and equity in the workplace, and assistance with the career management and success of employees

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Recognize the variety and multitude of employee stressors, see stress as an individual reaction, and assist employees with stress management.
  2. Prepare to support employees by caring about them holistically; provide individualized attention and customized problem-solving.
  3. Create opportunities for each employee to work in areas matching his/her interests; ensure employees have the appropriate mental, emotional, and physical skills for the job.
  4. Establish a mindset of focussing on the strengths and value in each employee, while encouraging others to do so as well.
  5. Examine the employee life cycle for opportunities to protect mental health and promote mental wellness, while you manage the HR function.
  6. Model positivity, be proactive, and hold high standards, as you implement psychological healthy and safe supervision practices.
