About this event

This Week's Wellness Activity!

Join facilitators from the online Healthy Relationships Program for LGBTQ2S+ Youth for this session. We'll work on naming rights and responsibilities in various relationships and explore the topic of consent in relationships.

**Conversations about consent can be challenging and bring up big feelings sometimes. The hub is not a counselling or crisis support. If you feel you need extra support at any time, please connect with one of the resources below.

If you are under 18 years old:

Crisis- Call Wellkin’s Crisis Response and Urgent Care at 1-877-539-0463 and follow the prompts for crisis support 24/7

Counselling- To access Wellkin’s counselling services, contact us Monday through Thursday (8:30am-4:30pm) or Friday (8:30am-4:00pm) at 1-877-539-0463 and a member of our team will guide you through the intake process

If you are 18 years old or older:

About The Hub

Created by Oxford youth in partnership with Wellkin, the Youth Engagement Advisory Hub (The Hub) is a space dedicated to youth wellness. It's a place to connect with peers and learn about resources and supports in your community.

What you can expect

  • A virtual "drop in" space to connect with supportive staff and other youth through Zoom.
  • Information on supports related to mental health, employment, housing, addiction and more.
  • A structured wellness activity each week that you can participate in. Each week is something new!

Who can access

Youth aged 13 to 25 years living in Oxford and Elgin counties

Free Pizza!

This Hub session includes the offer of free pizza delivered to your door on the night of the hub! Don't live in a delivery area? No problem! We can offer a virtual gift card to get something to eat instead. To organize pizza and gift cards in time, we need youth to register with your request at least 24 hrs in advance.

When and where you can access

Every Thursday!

Time: 3:30 to 4:30 pm

Once you register, you will receive an email with the details required to join The Hub via the Zoom platform. This email doesn't come right away- but you'll get it as soon as possible. Should you have any questions about The Hub, please contact Jenna Mitchell at jmitchell@wellkin.ca or 226-232-5995.

The Hub is made possible through The RBC Future Launch Challenge. The RBC Future Launch Community Challenge is supported by the RBC Foundation and Oxford Community Foundation.
