Free Online Plant Based Cooking Class
About this event
Please join us for our 16th free online plant based cooking class on Zoom and our 19th one since we started 3 years ago! Everyone is welcome to participate. We volunteer our time and aren't professional chefs nor computer experts. We are foodies and love to share our passion for plant based food.
We will demo plant based recipes, share information and resources to highlight the benefits of plant based eating including reducing the harm to animals, the environment and improve our health. Please join us to learn, laugh and enjoy delicious plant based foods that you will prepare in the comfort of your own home.
For this class, we will make Nice Cream and Tofu Scramble and show you how easy it is to grow your own sprouts. Yum!
We encourage everyone to introduce themselves (based on comfort level) and always save time at the end to answer questions you might have about plant based eating.
The recipes are below. We will review substitutes so don't worry if you don't have everything on hand and feel free to sub ingredients that you prefer too! We encourage everyone to cook along with us although you're welcome to watch as well if you prefer.
Nice Cream: Peel ripe bananas and freeze them cut in pieces for easier processing in a food processor or blender. You can also use other frozen fruit - blueberries, mango, strawberries to make different combinations.
Nuts make a nice addition to: almond slivers, walnuts, hazelnuts....
Other options: coconut shreds, vegan chocolate chips
