18 August 2019 OSA Tactical Rifle Training Practice

This Tactical Rifle Training Practice is open to OSA members, OSA affiliate members and guests who are qualified with the AR-style rifle. Prerequisite is the AR Clinic on 13 April or similar. You'll need a self-loading, detachable magazine-fed rifle, capable of grouping 3 MOA (1 MilRad) in .223 (5.56) cal or similar... your rifle/sight/ammo must be zeroed! Also required, basic shooting gear (electronic hearing protection, safety glasses, magazine pouches, etc.), and at least five magazines. Low-power or heads-up optical sight recommended.

The Tactical Rifle practices teach to the OSA course of fire... you can download the details from www.osacanada.ca at the bottom of the Events page. We start at 100 meters and work forward, using various positions and types of fire.

Ammunition must be proven safe in your rifle; you'll need about 200-300 rounds. Electronic ear defenders and safety glasses are required.

NEW CHECK IN TIME: 0930 to 0945. You'll be asked for proof of club membership. You'll also be required to sign a liability waiver.

NEW TIME FOR MANDATORY SAFETY BRIEFING: 0945. If you are not present for the safety briefing, you will not be able to participate.

If you haven't been to an OSA event before, email lindamilcun@gmail.com for detailed instructions. You must have shooter's liability insurance to enter our facility; i.e., you must be a member of the CSSA, CCFR, NFA, or similar. You must be fluent in English to participate in any OSA event.
