Event description

Description

CFT is a form of evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy that integrates the neuroscience of positive emotion and includes methods derived from Buddhist psychology. Enhancing your therapeutic approach and building your compassionate skills through CFT will help your clients to recognize the mental health symptoms that can stem from critical self talk and critical view of self. In this two day workshop you will learn the CFT model as developed by Dr. Paul Gilbert and engage in compassionate mindful imagery and therapy excercises to engage the compassionate soothing centres in the brain. A foundational knowledge in CBT or other form of structured psychotherapy is helpful, but not mandatory when attanding this workshop.

January 27th and 28th, 2020 from 9am-430pm

Cancellation: Stacey E. Roles & Associates Psychotherapy Services Inc. & CBT Training Centre of the North reserves the right to cancel training events at its discretion.
