Chris Willard

On a monthly basis, our volunteers, who are professionals in the hospitality industry, accompany The Dream Center Recovery Graduates to under-resourced Los Angeles neighborhood gardens. As a group, we plant, garden and grow organic produce. As a collective, we nurture plants and communities as the neighborhood residents then gather their own produce to promote healthier and sustainable lifestyles in their own neighborhood. The gardening volunteer event ends with a tasty culinary class inspired from Executive Chefs from top LA restaurants as they instruct on preparing healthy dishes from the food gathered; a canned good and an organic beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian option.  During this fun-filled day, we hope mentor-type conversations will flourish between you, Recovery Graduates and the neighborhood participants as we all grow from the fulfilling experience of helping one another.
