About this event

2-Spirit Circle Closed Group is a group that provides programming for 2-Spirit First Nations, Inuit and Métis community members in Windsor Essex, facilitated by Shane Lyon (2S Mi'kmaw/Irish) and presented by the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest.

2-Spirit Circle will be held biweekly on Monday’s from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest office located at the Market Square Entrance, 2109 Ottawa Street, 2nd Floor, Unit #216.

The 2-Spirit Circle ensures that everyone attending this group will have a non-judgmental, supportive space to get together and explore your identities and what that means to you. We will do this through Sharing Circles, Traditional Teachings, music, crafts, game nights and other activities to build connections within our community of Windsor-Essex.

About the organizer

The Windsor-Essex Pride Fest aims to promote equality and diversity through all of its year-round events including its signature annual event, the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest. The four-day Pride festival uses theatre, music, art, entertainment and education to raise awareness of discrimination and the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of diverse LGBT people in our community. Through this we aim to promote a sentiment in favour of equality, uniting people in a celebrative atmosphere where all are welcome, and fostering a sense of community within the Windsor-Essex LGBT population.

MISSION
The mission of the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest is to grow the organization into a premier event for the community and enhance its ability to become sustainable with the goal of helping to further the mandate of the Windsor Pride Community.
