About this Event

Dear Friends,

Abbotsford's public celebration of the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Bab -- "Dawn of the Light" -- will be on Monday, October 28 at 7pm at Garden Park -- 2825 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford (V2T 6S3).

The Bab (1819 - 1850) was the Forerunner of Baha'u'llah, Founder of the Baha'i Faith -- aiming toward world unity and an ever-advancing global civilization.

The birth of the Báb marks one of the happiest and most festive celebrations for Bahá’is worldwide. Millions of people around the world will be commemorating the 200th anniversary of His birth and the Bahá’í Community of Abbotsford is delighted to invite our friends, neighbors and the public at large to come and partake in this momentous celebration!

The Báb, whose title means “the Gate,” was a Messenger of God who called for the spiritual and moral regeneration of all of humanity. His mission was to prepare the way for the coming of yet another Messenger of God who would usher in a new era of peace promised in all the world religions. Bahá’ís recognize this latter Manifestation to be Bahá’u’lláh.

Our program includes short presentations, live performances, music, stories, interactive exhibits, refreshments, conversations, and socializing to honour 200 years since the birth of the Herald of a new day for the spiritual unity of humankind.

Registration is very appreciated, but registration and tickets are not necessary to attend the event.

Hope you can join us! And please feel free to share the invitation with others who might find this gathering of interest.
