With a focus on Jon Leif’s beautiful folk-inspired songs, the concert ranges from Áskell Másson’s Prim for solo snare drum - a favourite of Dame Evelyn Glennie - to an Icelandic hommage by guest curator William Pura. Wagner vs Stein: A Clash of Titans (remix version)
Thursday, May 22, 2014, 8pm
Rachel Browne Theatre

Curator: Diana McIntosh

Two incredible artists invite us deep into the worlds of two creative titans: Richard Wagner and Gertrude Stein. In the first half,
Berlin-based Canadian performance artist Myra Davies presents The 40-Minute Ring, a fast and funny multi-disciplinary dash through Hitler's favourite action fantasy. In the second Diana McIntosh gives us a glimpse into the playful and profound mind of Gertrude Stein in McIntosh the Stein Way – a theatrical multi-media take on the writings of Gertrude Stein and one of McIntosh’s best-loved works.
