2014 International Softball Coaches Symposium

Softball Canada and Softball Ontario are co-hosting the 2014 International Softball Coaches Symposium in Mississauga, ON from February 21-23, 2014 at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel & Conference Centre. In addition Softball Ontario`s Get in the Game Symposium will also be held on Saturday, February 22nd at the same venue providing an opportunity for coaches and volunteers to learn, share and connect!
For the first time, the symposium will offer two streams for coaches to choose from. The Community Coach Steam is for coaches of recreational or house league teams. The Rep Coach Stream is for competitive teams who are looking to attend Canadian Championships.
At the symposium, coaches will take part in classroom sessions and on-field sessions led by our incredible headliners as well as other coaching experts. Topics covered will include:
- Use of Technology
- Practice Planning
- Scouting and Game Plans
- Pitch Calling
- Infield Play
- Assessing team and individual performances
Note: Topics may change due to presenter availability.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
- All levels of softball coaches (Community & Rep) including Head Coaches and those that are just starting out
- Volunteers from local softball associations (board members, etc.)
- Any Coach who wants to bring new ideas to their team`s next practice or game.

SYMPOSIUM LOCATION & ACCOMMODATIONS
Symposium participants are responsible for booking and paying for their own accommodations. The Delta Meadowvale Hotel & Conference Centre (6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L5N 2L3, Canada, Phone: 905-821-1981, Reservations: 888-890-3222) has offered a special rate of $99.00 plus tax for symposium participants valid until Thursday, February 6, 2014. To ensure you receive the special symposium rate, please state the reservation code “Softball” when booking. Reservation requests received after February 6th will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
