What will I learn?
In this course you will learn business writing techniques by creating different kinds of memos, business letters and reports. Grammar, spelling, punctuation, word order, sentences, transitions, paragraphs, proper tone and style will be emphasized. You will learn basic writing techniques such as how to use active voice, how to apply to the 6 C's of writing, how to avoid jardons or offensive phrases, and how to write with a YOU attitude! Students will apply this knowledge using Microsoft Word.

If you want to improve your business writing skills, then this course is ideal for you. Business Writing will help you do just that in 35 hours. You will also learn to apply the rules of grammar in your business documents so that you are a mroe effective business writer.

If you withdraw more than five business days before the start of the TechSkills class you have enrolled in, an 80% refund by cheque, or a reversal to your credit card, will be processed. If you withdraw five business days, or less, before the start of the TechSkills class you have enrolled in, you will receive no refund.

Skills for Change is known for pioneering programs that respond to shifting immigration and workplace trends and lead to employment. The first program, in 1983, was an office training program that successfully led all its first graduates, a group of women from Southeast Asia, into full-time employment.
Now a range of accelerated programs are offered to fit the needs of the people arriving from all parts of the world.
