The Frances Lankin Award
The Frances Lankin Award was established in 2011 by Social Planning Toronto on the occasion of Frances Lankin’s retirement from United Way Toronto. It is awarded annually to an individual who has made a significant, sustained contribution to the non-profit community sector in the City of Toronto. Previous recipients are Liane Regendanz, Rob Howarth, Charlotte Maher, Colin Hughes, Kay Blair and Heather McGregor.
The selection process
Nominations for the award can be made by any individual or organizational member of Social Planning Toronto. Nominations can be made by mail, email or fax using the attached nomination form and criteria.
The timeline for the process
For 2016, there is a February 29th deadline for receipt of nominations. The recipient will be announced by March 18th.
The Award Reception
The award will be presented at a reception the evening of Wednesday, April 20th. The reception will take place at the YWCA Elm Centre.
